In-studio Recording

  • Pre-production - song evaluation, method of recording, plan budget, scheduling, set goals, identify problem areas

  • Basic Tracking - 24 tracks available, all live tracking or individual tracking, with or without clicktrack

  • Overdubbing - add additional guitars, add additional instruments, add lead and backup vocals, fly in samples or soundbites, add SFX

  • Enhancements - add electronic drum triggers to phatten up or augment sounds, shift tracks in time (although playing better is preferred to this methodology ! lol), create electronic doubling

  • Digital Editing - remove unwanted vocal sounds and "comp" vocal, create silence between passages, fly good parts over bad ones, cut and paste sections (although playing better is preferred to this methodology ! lol)

  • Mixdown - We can mix for you "in the box", a purely computer mix that is ideal for classical or reference recordings. Or we can mix "hybrid"; digital tracks mixed through our British analog console, processed with our outboard gear (using tubes and other "character" gear) and the mix sent to a digital hard disc recorder (passing through Apogee A to D converters for maximum quality). Or we can mix purely analog; your digital tracks through our processing, console and sent to an Ampex 440 B 1/2" professional grade tape recorder (this is the pentultimate way to mix rock music, nothing else even comes close to this much richness, warmth and substance.

  • Mastering - edit, sequence, EQ, limit, compress and sometimes process final mixes into a finished Red Book compatible CD master ready for duplication

  • CD burning - one offs of rough mixes or multiple copies of final mixes

  • Duplication packages - quantities of 1 to 200 available with jewel boxes and printing on disc, quantities of 200 and up "retail ready" (jewel boxes, shrinkwrap, disc artwork, full color inserts, barcode)

    Mobile Recording

  • Location recording - record in whatever sonically pleasing room you choose, great for small acoustic combos

  • Audio for video - shot live on location, synced to video, live submix and all that
